CROWN J CATTLE COMPANY, located in central Oklahoma a
few miles south of historic Guthrie, CJCC is home to a small but select herd of longhorns. Over time we
have determined the direction we wish to go with our program to not only improve the quality of our herd but to define
the individual traits we want to see in our cows. Cattle have been carefully chosen from proven sources. We are
now seeing the results of our own planned matings and believe our plan is working for us..
We continue developing our goals as well as a workable plan on where we wish to go
with our breeding program.
As you tour our website you will notice we are assembling significantly true black females
with serious horn. We will continue to enhance spectacular colored cattle with thick balanced horn, along with
our black herd. In 2009 we added the excitingly, beautifully colored, powerfully conformed, Kelo
Chex 651/2"ttt, by BL Night Chex whose
dam is by Phenomenon. We expect Kelo Chex to sire breathtaking
cattle with serious horn and superb conformation. Kelo Chex will be mated with most
of our very best cows. Here at CJCC we are most serious about correct conformation, thickness, intimate nurturing,
milking ability and strong thick based horn of acceptable length. We are very sure you will be more than pleased with
the purchase of a CJCC longhorn. Our feelings are to promote enjoyment and excitement with each of the animals we sell.
Remember, longhorns were the cattle of choice for many of the true, legendary cattlemen of the early west.
We do occasionally take cattle in trade on a case by case basis.
