CROWN J BRAND HISTORY

Our Crown J brand is patterned after and inspired by the Crown VEE brand memorialized in the James Michener book and subsequent television mini series "Centennial". The brand in the book was developed by the cowboys on the sprawling fictional Crown Vee Ranch for the Earl of Venneford who owned the vast cattle empire. The crown portion of the brand was thought to be fitting since the cowboys believed the Earl was surely English royalty and a brand depicting a crown would be appropriate.

Hence, the Crown J brand was designed and is now a significant part of the Crown J Cattle Company identity. We are proud of our cattle, our program and envision the Crown J brand will come to represent our cattle to be of the highest quality.  Some have nick named our cattle with this brand as the "King James" version.

By the way; We are pretty sure there is no "royalty" in our family tree, however we are blessed with an abundance of country charm and wholesome family values.
